A WOMEN:girls initiative in collaboration with L’Oréal Malaysia
Transforming women’s lives, one makeover at a time.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — [17/11/2025] — Pertubuhan Pembangunan Kendiri Wanita dan Gadis (WOMEN:girls), in collaboration with L’Oréal Malaysia, proudly announces the successful completion of Beauty For A Better Life 2025, marking the program’s fourth year of empowering Malaysian women through professional beauty and hairdressing skills.

This year, the program celebrated the achievements of 91 women graduates across four intakes, reinforcing its mission to create pathways to economic opportunity for women from diverse backgrounds, particularly those facing social or financial barriers.

Beauty For A Better Life offers free, high-quality training and upskilling through two options of beauty courses: hairdressing and beauty and makeup, equipping women with industry-relevant skills and the confidence to pursue sustainable livelihoods — whether through employment, freelance work, or entrepreneurship.

A Programme Powered by Women, for Women

A highlight of the 2025 edition of is the inspiring return of two program alumni as educators:

  • A 2022 graduate who now served as the 2025 Hairdressing Educator
  • A 2024 graduate who joined the team as the 2025 Beauty & Makeup Assistant Educator

Their journeys exemplify the program’s long-term impact — not only enabling economic mobility, but also cultivating leadership, mentorship, and empowerment within the community.

Transforming Women’s Lives, One Makeover at a Time

Since its launch, Beauty For A Better Life has supported hundreds of women in Malaysia to uplift themselves through skills that are often out of reach due to financial constraints, limited access, or lack of opportunities.

The program’s tagline — Transforming women’s lives, one makeover at a time — reflects the deep personal transformation experienced by participants, many of whom enter the program unsure of their abilities, and graduate with both technical skills and renewed self-belief.

A Sustainable Impact on Families and Communities

Beyond the technical training, Beauty For A Better Life nurtures personal growth, emotional resilience, financial literacy, and career readiness. Many graduates have since:

  • Opened small home-based salons
  • Joined professional beauty salons
  • Taken freelance makeup and hairstyling assignments
  • Continued advanced certification in the beauty industry

For many, this program represents a turning point — enabling them to uplift their families, gain financial stability, and pursue long-term careers in the beauty industry.
