KUALA LUMPUR, 29 April 2026 — The April 2026 Cohort of the Kerjayaku: Goal Accelerator has successfully completed its Learn Phase, engaging a total of 52 participants in a comprehensive 7-day learning journey designed to equip them with essential life and career skills. These participants were made up of Malaysian women between the ages of 18-35 hailing from the Klang Valley and surrounding areas who are currently seeking opportunities to grow themselves and their careers.
Organised by Pertubuhan Pembangunan Kendiri Wanita dan Gadis (WOMEN:girls) in partnership with Standard Chartered Foundation, the Learn Phase featured a series of interactive sessions covering key topics such as personality identification, character building, goal setting and career planning, employee rights and gender-based violence awareness, communication skills, financial literacy, and cybersecurity. These sessions, which were conducted by professionally recognized and esteemed coaches, provided the participants with extended knowledge and exposure into discovering themselves and the world around them.
This cohort also experienced a refreshing addition to the programme through its Future Running Club extension by the introduction of a new sport: pickleball! This offered the participants a fun and engaging way to build teamwork, confidence, and connection beyond the classroom.
A key highlight of this batch is the return of the SheLeads mentor-mentee sessions, held in collaboration with Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia. This edition features an expanded pool of mentors from the bank’s top management, providing participants with valuable guidance, career insights, and meaningful professional connections.
With the Learn Phase now concluded, participants will transition into the Earn Phase, where they will take part in specialised masterclasses and a career festival aimed at preparing them to enter the workforce with confidence and readiness.
More updates on the programme will be shared in the coming weeks! For more information on the program, you may contact the Program Officer, Aisyah Azreen at aisyah@womengirls.org
